Woodland Hut

Lindy and Tony wanted to make use of a corner of woodland adjacent to their home. The hut needed to be sympathetic to the area it stood in so we opted for soft green colours.

The positioning of the hut was important to maximise the evening sunlight. Tony created a small decked area next to the hut so the couple could have a space to relax outside. He also created his own electricity to power the hut meaning the impact to the environment was low.

The heart and soul of Sussex Huts is Joe. His passion for working with wood stretches as far back as his early childhood, visiting his grandfather and watching him work on his own carpentry projects.

Joe’s work is meticulous, testament to his years of training and working to restore period properties through traditional quality carpentry. Following an opportunity to help some friends, Joe discovered that his real passion is in creating traditional Shepherds Huts.
