We work closely with our customers to create bespoke huts that we all love.
We have four hut designs on which we base our shepherd's huts. Have a look and let us know which one catches your eye.
All of our huts are built to each customer's specification.

With a stable door at one end, this hut offers the traditional feel of an original 19th century shepherd's hut. With two windows and timber exterior cladding, this is Joe’s original design. It measures 6ft 4ins wide internally, and has a range of internal layout options.
Offering a more contemporary twist on The Original Hut, this hut has the addition of either a stable door or double doors, placed along the length of the hut. This provides a large and usable space at either end for a bed or perhaps a work desk.
This hut offers the layout options of The Original Hut and Sussex Hut with the added details of oak windows and doors. These are stained and oiled to maintain the beautiful look and feel that only oak can provide. This hut is for those who love their wood and love the heritage feel of oak.
The Glamping Hut is the largest in our range. It can include a bathroom, loo, kitchen and bed. Whether being used at home or commercially, we make your glamping dreams come true, with the option for either being off grid or connected to mains services.
Our passion for shepherd's huts shines through everything we do. We love nothing more than working with a client through every stage of the design, build and installation process - and equally enjoy working on something we know you will love when it’s delivered to your home.
Our aim is to make the decision making process as easy as possible, guiding you every step of the way whilst listening carefully to your ideas and requirements. We provide you with the best options to match your needs and taste, from the size and layout, to the fixtures and fittings.
We have a reputation for quality, craftsmanship and creativity. We love a challenge. And we love happy customers with a beautiful shepherd's hut in their garden.
Depending on size and specifications, our huts take between 6-12 weeks to make. We keep you updated every step of the way and welcome you to visit us in the workshop to see the progress for yourself.
It is wise to double check with your own local planning authority, but generally speaking, you do not need to seek approvals for a shepherd's hut on your own land, for private use. The huts, being mobile and not a fixed structure, do not require the same planning requirements as for home extensions - making a shepherd's hut a fantastic choice!
The short answer is yes! Our huts are built in our workshop in West Sussex. All of our materials are sourced from local suppliers in Sussex wherever possible. Our cast iron wheels are made by a traditional foundry in Walsall. We work with local craftsmen and women as part of our extended team.
We can deliver to anywhere in the UK and even further afield - we do love a challenge! We deliver the huts ourselves, using our 4x4 and trailer. Larger, heavier huts will need to be transported using a low loader. Joe will oversee every stage of the installation. When you make your order, not only will we discuss exactly where you want it to live, but also any delivery and installation challenges we foresee. On the delivery day, we will remain onsite until you are completely happy with the position of your hut.
Delivery costs depend on where we are delivering your hut to, and how challenging the installation is. We can supply you with an estimate once we have visited the site.
If you intend for your shepherd's hut to sit on grass, there is nothing for you to prepare, and we take care of everything! We provide a section of railway sleeper dug into the ground, flush with the grass, to spread the weight. We will lay this when we deliver your hut. If you would prefer your hut to be sited on a hard-standing surface, you can use concrete slabs or stone, we will discuss all this with you during our site visit.
Absolutely, yes you can. The best time to move your hut is in summer when the ground is dry. All of our huts come with a draw bar and the wheels turn completely underneath the body making it possible to reposition your hut . You will need a 4x4 vehicle or tractor, hitch the hut to your vehicle and tow it into position.
If you move house or would like to reposition your shepherd’s hut and do not have access to an appropriate vehicle, we would be very happy to offer assistance, advice and a suitable vehicle. Please just give us a call to discuss.
Wonderful! Let’s get together and chat - ideally face to face. We can come to you or you are welcome to visit us at the workshop. Once we know exactly what you want we will go away and draft a proposal. This will include your exact specification, plans of the proposed layout and a detailed quote. Once you are happy with everything then we just require a 10% deposit to confirm your order. Two weeks prior to work commencing, we require 50% of the balance, with the remainder due on completion of your hut.
